Workshops

We are pleased to say the Team Green Britain Bike Week workshops were a huge success! Taking place throughout March and April, the workshops were new for 2010. Overall we visited 13 towns across the UK and met 300 local cycling organisers, who also used the opportunity to forge links with other enthusiasts.

Where we visited
Workshops provided ideas and inspiration, practical tips and advice on organising events, marketing and promotion, as well as the chance to share ideas and experiences. We have received lots of positive feedback from attendees and hope to return to the road again in 2011!

"The workshop provided a good opportunity to bring together other people that are looking at organising events for Team Green Britain Bike Week and not only allow the time to discuss these but especially pick up on others ideas from the previous workshops.  For me this helped to stimulate a number of ideas that could be taken forward either by myself, the team or other stakeholders."
Graham Titchener, Cycle City York

"It was really interesting to learn more about Team Green Britain Bike Week's broader plans for 2010, and talk with other event organisers for the week in Brighton. I think it's a really great idea to hold these workshops.  It clearly generated a lot of helpful communication between local event organisers, and it helped focus and inspire the people who attended the workshop."
