Samsung Electronics is the exclusive partner of Bike Week 2012.
Together we will encourage even more people to get on their bike this summer and make this the biggest Bike Week yet.
This year it's all for a good cause - to help underprivileged children.
Samsung Hope Relay App
With the arrival of The London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay to the UK, Samsung has created the Samsung Hope Relay, a relay all cyclists can take part in.
The Samsung Hope Relay is a FREE and unique mobile app. Whatever method users choose to complete their miles - be it riding a bike, running, or walking - the app will track the distance on a map using GPS.
For every mile completed, Samsung will donate £1 to charities such as London-based Kids Company and London 2012's international sports legacy programme, International Inspiration.
So as well as getting fit, users will be helping to change the lives of underprivileged children within and beyond the UK.
As an Olympic Games Worldwide Partner, Samsung would like to invite you to take part in a unique way that truly captures the spirit of the Olympic Games, whilst leaving a lasting legacy for underprivileged children.Taking part is easy – the Samsung Hope Relay app is free to download to most smartphones and once people have filled in their details and taken a photograph to create a personalised avatar, they can start logging their miles.
The registered Bike Week events have been set up as teams on the Samsung Hope Relay app to allow organisers to encourage their participants to log their miles before, during and after the event. If you are taking part in a Samsung Bike Week event, please ensure you join the team before the event day!
Olympic tickets will be given to the event or indivudual that logs the most mileages running up to the Olympic Games.
